Paul Rumsey

Paul Rumsey is Vice President, Chief Learning Officer at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas. He oversees career and leadership development strategies and implementation, physician education and ongoing training for both clinical and non-clinical staff throughout the system.

Prior to Parkland, Rumsey worked for TGI Fridays, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Global Learning and Development. There he led the development and implementation of leadership programs, process improvements and innovation, a global coaching model and change management efforts for the company, which has more than 70,000 team members working at 900 restaurants in 60 countries. In 2014 Cornerstone on Demand Awarded him their Rave Award for Advancement in Reinventing Work. 

Prior to his tenure at TGI Fridays, Rumsey was Vice President of Education Delivery and Operations Worldwide at MicroStrategy, a leading business intelligence company. Additionally, he previously worked for UnitedHealth Group in Minnetonka, MN, where he spent five years in various leadership roles in Operations and Human Capital Training.

Rumsey has more than 25 years of experience in education and corporate training with significant focus on blended learning (e-learning, classroom and hands-on application), innovative use of technology, career progression, process improvement and high potential talent development.
